Dr. Jesse Ballenger Joins Statistical Research, Inc.

Statistical Research, Inc., is pleased to announce that Dr. Jesse Ballenger will be rejoining SRI as a senior project director in the Tucson Office. Jesse worked at SRI in 2007–2008 on a part-time basis as a lithic analyst in support of the U.S. 60 Archaeological Project by completing the lithic studies, including a replicative study concerning the aboriginal use of Superior obsidian. He also assisted the paleoenvironmental and geomorphological examination conducted as part of SRI’s Christiansen Border Village project along the U.S.-Mexico Border in 2008. This June, Jesse received his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona, and he was the distinguished recipient of the Emil Haury Dissertation Fellowship. Jesse has a strong background in Paleoindian and Early Archaic period archaeology and terminal Pleistocene–Early Holocene environments in southeastern Arizona. He has also worked extensively throughout the central and northern Plains. Jesse will begin work at SRI on August 3, and Jesse will be working primarily out of SRI’s Prehistoric and Lithic Departments. Welcome aboard Jesse!
